O Hannah, how did I know that this was going to be yours!!!! I do agree with the comics and you comment that we need to pay attention, but I have a problem with you directly the problem strictly at this country. Whereas we do contribute to much of the energy and pollution problem we are not the only country that uses a lot of energy. We do need to conserve more, but we need to push this concept around the world, not just one country!
Oh, I agree! We must push the idea on the entire world.
I also think that as a nation we must make a statement and take action on our own. We all saw how well the Koyoto agreement went, a perfect example of what happens when we encourage the world but don't take action our selves.
American must step up to the plate in order to persuade the world
My reactions to this cartoon: ALL the electricity is being wasted on these 2 people, an American guy and his speculated wife. This cartoon is stupid, in my opinion, as it demonstrates that the American guy blames the rest of the world as the primary cause of global warming. When this fat/lazy American guy, is sitting on his butt wasting a lot of energy on needless stupid electronics. This angers me... but wait, I do it too. I hate to admit it but I talk on the phone, while watching tv and listening to the radio. Though in my defense, I do not blame the rest of the world for causing global warming. This is hard for me to admit, but I do blame myself for causing global warming and vow to be more conscience of my watseful electronic ways in the future.
